Yellow Water Reservoir is a 441-acre irrigation storage reservoir located in Petroleum County, near Lewistown, Montana. Along with War Horse Lake and Wild Horse Lake, Yellow Water Reservoir makes up War Horse National Wildlife Refuge.

The reservoir provides excellent fishing and boating opportunities. It contains rainbow trout, which Montana Fish Wildlife and Parks stock.

The area is ideal for wildlife viewing. It's famous for its elk population and birds like Mountain Plovers, Peregrine Falcons, and Long-Billed Curlews.
