Westshore and Crescent Lake Loop

Westshore and Crescent Lake Loop Trail is in the Custer Gallatin National Forest, near Bozeman, Montana.

The trail is short and sweet. It's about 3 miles in length, and it's relatively flat the whole time. The area is very popular, so the foot traffic has made it hard to navigate the main trail loop. The lack of signage doesn't help in navigating the area either. You should complete the loop if you take a right at the Hyalite Reservoir onto a small dirt path.

The area is beautiful, and even if you don't navigate the loop correctly, there is plenty to see and lots of places to stop for a picnic.
