Waterworks Hill

Waterworks Hill is a popular hiking trail in Missoula, Montana. It's a great family-friendly trail close to downtown, where your pups are welcome. Most of the dogs you encounter on the trail are off of a leash.

The main trail is about four miles out and back, but there are many connecting trails that you can use to extend your adventure. Make your hike, walk, or run as short or long as you'd like.

We recommend coming prepared with sunscreen because there is little shade on the trail.

It's pretty flat for the most part, but there are a few steep sections. Kiddos often conquer the elevation gain with no struggle, so it's nothing most people can't easily accomplish.

The trail is a popular hike in town so expect to be sharing the space with many people.
