Quick Summary

Story

Warren Pass Loop is a trail located in the Anaconda-Pintler Wilderness. It's an ideal trail for backpackers looking to spend a night or two enjoying the vistas, trout fishing, and mountain ranges.

We recommend starting right and taking the loop counter-clockwise. The lakes are on the first side of the loop, and there are many campsites in the area. From this side, you can end your first day on the trail with ease.

You'll start to hike through burnt forest from the fire in 2017. The charred areas are recently (2021) brimming with new growth and blooming wildflowers.

From Warren Peak, there's a fantastic, panoramic view of the surrounding mountains!

On the east side, the trail is enveloped by dense forest. It's overgrown in some places, so it's easy to get lost. A topographical map may be beneficial for this hike.

There's an active wildlife population in the area, so come prepared with bear spray and enjoy your encounters with the trail's inhabitants.
