Thain Creek Campground Trail is in the Highwood Mountains near Great Falls, Montana. It's a fun, family-friendly hike that encompasses Thain Creek Campground. Extending your hike to an overnight adventure is easy in this area.
A few creek crossings are sure to cool you off but might leave you with soggy feet if you don't prepare.
The best place to park if you arent camping is at the fork in the road before you enter the campground. The trailhead is just left of the main road (Trail 411). the trail will spit you out at the same fork in the road.
The best time to explore this area is in early autumn, when the trees change color and fall. Beautiful!
