This mission was founded in the 1860's and included the purpose of converting the local Blackfeet tribes. The mission has relocated several times and is still in operation in Great Falls, but they left behind a beautiful church, several outbuildings, a cemetery, and ruins. The area is fun to explore and there is lots of history to be learned. Most of the fun of this visit is the drive out there: about 10 miles northwest of Cascade, MT. You can turn it into a loop by taking one of the many roads that cuts between Cascade and Highway 200. We took a loop that included a stop at Bullwacker Springs: a natural spring that feeds a small pond and welcomes local wildlife. You can find Bullwacker Springs on google maps.
