Who'd think Great Falls, Montana would be the envy of extreme-sport enthusiasts around the country? The Riverside Railyard is considered one of the top five skate parks in the Pacific Northwest. Skaters from all over the country come to try their skills at the park.
The park is 27,000 square feet, meaning it's among the 20 largest skate parks in the country.
The park features a series of bowls fit for different skill levels. There are 5, 8, and 9 foot deep bowls connected by a full-pipe funnel. It also features the "over vertical," where the edge of the bowl curves like a cresting wave. There's a full pipe, half pipes, a clamshell, a street course with ledges, grind rails, grind boxes, and steps.
The park is designed to allow beginner and competitor skaters alike to challenge themselves with varied skating terrain.
Even world-known legendary skateboarder Tony Hawk has tested the park for himself.
