Ptarmigan Tunnel (Glacier National Park)

Ptarmigan Tunnel is in the Many Glacier area (Babb, MT) of Glacier National Park. You can extend your hike to see Iceberg Lake if you wanted to hit two must-see trails on one trek!

The climb to the tunnel is strenuous for sure, but once you get to the lake, you'll forget about the effort required to get there.

You'll be surrounded by thick forest almost the entire climb, so there are plenty of Bighorn sheep, mountain goats, and grizzlies in this area. Be loud and carry bear spray!
