Pioneer Ridge Trail is in the Lewis and Clark National Forest in the Little Belt Mountains. It's an excellent trail for a one to three-day backpacking experience.
There's access to several other trails in the area, including Hoover Creek Trail, Hoover Ridge Trail, South Fork Hoover Creek Trail, Bender Creek Trail, and the Otis Park Creek section of Glory Hole Trail.
There's limited parking at the trailhead and no restroom. If there's a need, you can park at the Belt Creek Ranger Station just south of the trail on Highway 89.
Motorcycles and ATVs are allowed on the trail.
To get there, follow the provided GPS coordinates below or travel 5 miles north of Neihart and 0.2 miles north of the Belt Creek Information Center on the west side of US Highway 89.
