Mount Jumbo North Peak Trail is a strenuous climb near Missoula, Montana. The beginning of this hike is to the infamous L, which is not very scenic, albeit easy. From there, you will climb to Mount Jumbo, to Jumbo Backbone, and then finally to the summit.
The hardest aspect of this trail is not the distance, but the significant elevation gain (without switchbacks). If you have bad knees, this trek will be grueling.
The scenery past the L is amazing and definitely worth the climb if you can make it.
