Moose Tracks Snowshoe Trail is in the Custer Gallatin National Forest in Big Sky, Montana. The trail is accessible from the Big Sky Resort property.
The trail can be hard to find given there are no markings, but it follows the Ski Lift Road for most of the route. It feels like you're off the beaten path even though you're in the middle of the resort the entire time.
The slope inclines gradually and makes for a quick, moderate workout or a slow leisurely stroll.
The trail can be made in hiking boots if the snow is packed in tight, you're traveling with a partner, and you don't venture off the trail.
In sum, the Moose Tracks Snowshoe Trail is an easy, peaceful adventure that you can accomplish with winterized hiking boots if you are familiar with the area and activity.
