Kinney Coulee Loop

Kinney Coulee is an incredible and rugged loop in Makoshika State Park near Glendive, Montana.

The trail is short but strenuous because it can be incredibly steep in some areas. We suggest skipping this trail if there's any rain in the forecast. Any water turns this trail into a slip-n-slide and makes it nearly impossible to complete.

This trail has fantastic views of badlands, rock ledges, panoramas, hoodoos, and other rock formations. You're likely to run into some rabbits and lizards while exploring this trail.

This area is beautiful and unique. It's like nothing else in Montana. We suggest venturing out on a cool day and bringing sunscreen and lots of water.
