Howe Lake Trail is a short and sweet trail in Glacier National Park.
This trail is not as spectacular or grand in views as some of the other trails in the park, but it's quaintly beautiful. The trail starts in a beautiful, old burn area and becomes increasingly green as you continue. You walk among fantastic new trees and vast meadows of this year's wildflowers.
It is not popular among the trails in the park, so you are likely to have it to yourself. The trail is perfect and easy if you want to enjoy solitude, peace, and quiet.
The wildlife is active and abundant in the area because of the lack of foot traffic. The lake is a great place to sit on a log, enjoy a picnic, and watch the animals.
