Story

This state park is described as a prairie dog "town" and when you visit, you'll understand why. Mother prairie dogs yell at their children for harassing the neighbors, old prairie dogs tell the kids to stay off their lawn, and the prairie dog sheriff keeps them all in order and warns them when predators are nearby. Come visit this adorable community for yourself (and keep your dogs in your vehicle!) A pit toilet is available as well as information placards placed along a short paved trail.
