Gorge Lakes Trail

Gorge Lakes Trail is in the Pioneer Mountains (southwest Montana) and winds through the lush Beaverhead National Forest near Dillon, Montana.

The trailhead can be hard to reach. The last mile or so of the road is rough. You might consider parking further back and add to the distance of your hike.

The trail climbs noticeably in elevation, but the steep areas don't last long, and the views are amazing.

The lakes are beautiful, and there's lots of Brook Trout in the northern Gorge Lake.
