Story
Garnet Ghost Town was titled "one of America's coolest ghost towns" by Travel and Leisure. The town is surprisingly well-preserved and tells a lot of history of the mining era that launched the town's construction. If you have the time, turn this drive into a loop from highway 200 to highway 12. A pit toilet is available at the trailhead and there is camping nearby.
