Fort Rock Trail Loop is a family-friendly trail in the Missouri Headwaters State Park in Three Forks, Montana. It's beautiful and surrounded by meadows and distant mountains. The trail showcases the park's physical beauty as well as the local history.
The trail is relatively flat and easy. The north end of the trail is all paved and accessible to wheelchairs and strollers. There are benches and picnic tables along the route for resting and sharing a meal with family or friends.
There is little to no shade, so we recommend wearing sunscreen and wearing layers. There are also many cactus lining the sides of the trail, so be extra cautious if you are venturing with your pups. We also suggest bringing bug spray!
Overall, it's an excellent park for a stroll and a picnic.
