Quick Summary

Story

Crystal Lake Campground is about an hour outside of Lewistown in the Big Snowy Mountains. It's a popular place in Central Montana for swimming, fishing, and canoeing.

The campground features a picturesque lake that's well suited for floating. There's a boat ramp for non-motorized boats, so bring a tube, raft, or canoe and enjoy the lake!

This is an excellent family campground!

Hiking, biking, birdwatching, snowshoeing, fishing, boating, and canoeing are all possible in the area. If you have your fishing license, you can catch some of the Rainbow Trout Crystal Lake is stocked with annually. Various trails surround Crystal Lake and provide excellent opportunities for wildlife viewing, horseback riding, and mountain biking.

For information on trails in the area, see here.
