Crawford Creek Trail is in the Lewis and Clark National Forest in the Little Belt Mountains. It's a great afternoon hike if you're in the area.
The trailhead is not apparent and starts behind the Belt Creek Ranger Station. You'll cross the footbridge, pass the barn, and hike for about two miles along the creek.
The trail crosses the creek a few times, so be prepared.
Because the last mile of this route is across private land, we recommend getting permission from the owner before proceeding.
The early sections of the trail are gradual, but later the trail climbs hillsides above the creek and becomes more strenuous.
It's on Highway 89, about five miles north of Neihart, at Belt Creek Information Station.
