Clary Coulee

Clary Coulee is a great hiking trail near Choteau, Montana. The landscape is beautiful and full of berries and wildflowers until you get to the summit, where there are sweeping, panoramic views of the Rocky Mountain Range and the Great Plains.

The trail can be difficult to navigate. It's primarily rocky and steep terrain. In some places, the trail disappears nearly entirely, but there are signs of trampled grass to aid you in continuing.

Eventually, you will reach what appears to be a dead-end. From here, continue left to the crest of a hill.

The trip there is primarily uphill, and the way back is nearly all downhill. If you struggle with poor knees, this adventure could be made more difficult for you.

You'll probably be pretty secluded during your trek, so bring bear spray and make lots of noise.
