Boulder Lakes Trail is in Deerlodge National Forest, near Philipsburg, Montana. The trailhead can be challenging to find. You'll cross two bridges before reaching the start. When you see the "private property sign 1/4 mile", turn around, and you'll see the trailhead. The last mile of the road to the trailhead may be challenging to reach without a high clearance vehicle.
The trail is beautiful, and the scenery changes multiple times. You'll walk through lush woods, meadows, and marshland.
The end of the trail can be overgrown and hard to navigate. If you push through to the lake, there are a couple of distinguished camping sites with fire rings.
