This is a can't-miss Montana experience. The canyon is walled with imposing rock structures and hosts a myriad of streams and plant groves below. This trail takes you through a wonderful variety of views and experiences. If you come in July, bring an empty container for the huckleberries, but don't forget the bears like them too - keep an eye out. The town of Hamilton is nearby and fun to explore as well. The waterfall at the end of the trail is a great lunch stop. A mile of so below the falls there is a well-worn stopping point that features a natural rock waterslide and swimming holes. Don't be fooled into thinking this is the waterfall - keep going until you reach the top and you can't miss it. Camping is available near the trailhead at Blodgett Campground.
