The Beauty Lake Trail is in the Shoshone National Forest near Cooke City, Montana. It's a nice and easy trail that offers excellent views of the Beartooth Pass and the lake.
There are water crossings, so prepare for wet feet or rock hopping.
The trail is beautiful, and after you cross the stream, you'll enter wide alpine meadows. You'll also encounter a waterfall before coming to the fork that leads you to either Beauty Lake or Becker Lake.
The views from Beauty Lakeshore are fantastic. We recommend spending time reaping the spoils of your effort by having a picnic by the lake.
If you wish to spend more time exploring the area, the Beartooth Lake Campground is close to the trailhead.
